Tribalization of Business: 2009 Study
We first participated in this survey last year and just finished this year’s questionnaire. The survey is focused on “…assessing the effectiveness of online business communities and learning how organizations are measuring the success and progress of those communities.”
- What are the top 5 purposes of your online community?
- If you launched communities, how much time did it take from concept to launch”?
- Do you have a formal external “ambassador” program? (a program in which outsiders get preferential treatment in return for being more active in the community)
- Are you actively capturing data on lurkers (i.e., people who observe online community activity but don’t participate in overt manner by posting, contributing, communicating with the members in the community)?
- Have communities changed the organizational infrastructure that support the processes that they were supposed to impact? (please explain)
